Rails 7 says Bye-bye to Byebug
Byebug has been the debugging tool of choice by the Ruby on Rails framework since 2015, however times are a changing.
Now at the time of this article, Rails 7 has yet to see an alpha released so things can always change but as of now Byebug has been replaced with the Ruby debug library.
There have been documented issues with Byebug having trouble with the Zeitwork loading library that is utilized by rails. This alone makes me think that the commit will probably stick.
Check out the commit if you want to dig deeper.
Thanks to the open-source contributions of David RodrÃguez and all that made Byebug possible; Thanks for your time and service.
